Kaitlyn Niznik holds her MFA degree from Lesley University and her BFA from SUNY New Paltz. She received a 2025 fellowship from the Crohn's and Colitis Young Adults Network (CCYAN). Kaitlyn has been a middle and high school art teacher for the past nine years in upstate New York. She suffers from chronic illnesses and uses her art to spread awareness for lesser-known diseases and to build her own anatomical knowledge. Her artwork has been featured in The Pathologist magazine and In Vivo, Harvard University's Medical Humanities magazine.  She has shown her work across the US as well as internationally.
